Sunday Hustle

This weekend, we've been dealing with a sick kiddo.

Well, I guess we've been dealing with 2 coughing kids, but one was on the mend.

At any rate, on Saturday evening, we decided that I'd stay home with the girls and Jason would go to church...then Sunday morning, he'd stay home while Sugar and I went to church.

Divide and conquer.

It works over here.

Well, Saturday night ended up being a rough night for Tink and I. She was up and down and up and down...therefore, so was I!  Fever, cough, more cough...you know the drill.
Humidity, Tylenol, cuddles, repeat.

Somehow we both crashed around 6 am..and the next thing I knew Jay was waking me up at 9:30.  Service at 10:30, 20 minutes away!

I flew through a shower while he hustled to get Sugar together.

RUSH RUSH RUSH, PEOPLE!!!!

We were preparing for take off in the kitchen -- grab a banana, fill a cup with ice water, check her blood sugar...

121.

SCORE!

Grab your Bible...20 minutes to get there, then 10 minutes to get parked, drop you off, and get myself to the worship center.

Let's go!!!!  HUSTLE UP!

"Oh.  She was 44 just a bit ago."

SCREEEEEEEEEEEECH.

44?

Did he just say 44?

Now she's 121.  And there's IOB.

Stop the world ...
I.  NEED.  TO.  THINK.  PEOPLE!

44.  IOB.  An hour service.  Rushing around.

I'll think in the car.

  1. Isn't that always the way? You've got to go, go, go and then all the sudden you've got to stop, because you just can't think about d at that speed. And you need quiet. (i.e. no crying for just two minutes, please!)
