{D}Art

One of my favorite parts of Friends For Life 2012 was the opportunity to put the hectic business of life aside, and sit down as a family to create art together.  Lee Ann created an amazing space for people to come turn "diabetes trash" into art.

Having Spice join us for the trip made this particular event very special to me.  I can remember coloring and painting with Spice together -- just the two of us, long before I had my first baby.  I remember cutting and pasting and glitter, just for fun.  I remember her little hands, and the pictures she used to make for us during her trips.

After that experience, I knew we would participate in Diabetes Art Day 2012.

The girls found simple joy in playing with sidewalk chalk.

Mr. Rose and I went to the shooting range, and brought along our own target...
