Support.

Our local support group got together for a potluck picnic at the park.
I love these families!
It's nice to sit around chatting,
completely oblivious to the sights and sounds of managing type 1.

Click.
Beep.
"How many carbs?"

Since last year's potluck, we've added a dozen or so families to our steadily growing group.
Today we captured 3 of those hand prints for our board...

We need a cure.

  4. We had a blast today. My girls are exhausted from all that fun!

    (Heidi, we missed you guys!)

The 3 new hand prints make me sad. I love meeting new families but I just hate HOW we meet them. :(

Thanks for letting me borrow the 2 group photos! Mine were not good at all. :)

  8. I need to get a support group together! Of course, everytime you write about or post pictures about yours, I say to myself: "Self . . get a group together!" Then I prompty forget.

Now, what were we talking about?

  9. My favorite part about getting together with other PWD is "Is that you?" when you hear a beep. (I'm weird, I know, but it's the simple things in life)

  10. How fun! I'd love to hear about when you guys get together, we live about 3 1/2 hours from PHX, so we wouldn't be able to make it all of the time, but we'd like to come sometimes. How do we get involved with your group? Email me, absilverhorn@frontiernet.net
