Tink

She's my baby.

It seems like she's growing up really fast these days.
I'm trying to hold on to the little moments...
the sound of her little voice...
the feel of her little fingers holding my hand...

I can't help it.

She's been asking to check her sister's sugar for quite sometime now.
So far, I've managed to put her off.
But not tonight.

Tonight she asked if she could check my blood sugar.
She said she wanted to show me that she knows how.

She's been paying attention.
She's ready.
She can handle it.

You know, because she THREE and all.

  1. so adorable yet sad at the same time. Jax (4 yrs) has been testing Joshua (23months)off and on for a few weeks now and it breaks my heart a little bit each time. Tonight he asked Mommy, can you please explain the differance between cover and correction. I need to learn... ugh... tug at the heart!

  10. What a sweetheart. I still tear up any time my little girl is "playing" diabetes. She checks all of her stuffed animals and gives them shots "cuz their pumps aren't working". :\
