Type 1 diabetes is sometimes called insulin-dependent, immune-mediated or juvenile-onset diabetes. It is caused by an auto-immune reaction where the body’s defence system attacks the insulin-producing cells. The reason why this occurs is not fully understood. People with type 1 diabetes produce very little or no insulin. The disease can affect people of any age, but usually occurs in children or young adults. People with this form of diabetes need injections of insulin every day in order to control the levels of glucose in their blood. If people with type 1 diabetes do not have access to insulin, they die.

Hello, my friends.

First I just wanted to thank you for bearing with me yesterday when I transferred some of the posts from my old blog to this one.  I had a request for some of the gluten free stuff I've tried in the past, and I needed to get them over here so I could provide a few links.

what I **REALLY** wanted to share with you today 

is this....

It's a sneak peek to the photo session we had over the weekend for the 

Inspiration Through Art (Littlest Heroes Project).

Our photographer, Jen, was absolutely amazing.

She was easy to work with and managed to capture thousands of these little moments 

for our family to treasure forever.

I'm excited to see the rest of our pictures.
