Dr. Banting: Not a Turkey.

Sugar had an assignment due today, 11/14/12 -- just about one week before Thanksgiving.

Today is World Diabetes Day, in fact.

Her assignment was to disguise a turkey,
and write a compelling essay about why her turkey is most definitely NOT a turkey.

Many turkeys will become ballerinas and football players.
Some may become rockstars and cartoon characters.

She thought long and hard about who she ought to disguise her turkey as.

In the end, she decided that Dr. Banting is NOT a turkey,
because turkeys can't discover insulin.

Most compelling argument, indeed!

  2. Wouldn't it be wonderful for the next 'not turkey' to be the one to find a CURE?!?!

  3. Sweet!! I love it. And, yeah, it's kinda sad that our kiddos know who Dr. Banting is, right? But they do. He's our hero.
