Bountiful Baskets

I woke up before dawn to head to my 5:30 am BodyBack Workout.  Conveniently the produce co-op we participate in delivers to the same park the workout was located!  SCORE!

Bountiful Baskets has been a huge blessing to our family.  Every other week, we pick up a basket of fresh produce (half fruit/half veggies), and incorporate them into our diet at home.  Since you do not get to choose what produce you'll be getting, it has forced our family to try some stuff we probably never would have tried otherwise.  Here's a picture of what we got this week...for $15.00...

2 bags of carrots
1 celery bunch
1 bunch broccoli
9 heads of romaine lettuce
13 mini cucumbers
3 bags radishes
5 mangoes
1 pint strawberries
6 oranges
9 apples
6 bananas

In addition to produce, the co-op also provides other offerings as well.  These are constantly changing, but examples often include: loaves of bread, extra produce, chips, cakes, and cookies.  This week, we added on a Tropical Pack for $10.50...

1 pineapple
1 coconut
1 starfruit
3 mangoes
2 limes
2 lemons
1 bag mint leaves
2 vanilla beans

All of that for a whopping $25.50!

Bountiful Baskets operates in several states, with many pick up locations:  AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, OK, OR, TX, UT, WA, WY.  If you're interested in participating in the co-op, you'll find some useful information by reviewing the New Participant Instructions.  You'll also want to check out the FAQ's and Policy information as well.  You can connect further on the Bountiful Baskets Facebook Page.

Jump in and enjoy the bounty!
